Hosting Community Safety Workshops

Twice a year, SSCRA helps produce a community fire safety workshop series to help area residents learn about and maintain preparations for wildfire.

These events have become known countywide as unique occasions for neighbors to learn and talk with one another about goals and actions they can take to keep each other safe. Information booths and door prizes are geared towards informing or supporting the efforts of residents to reduce fire fuels, harden homes, maintain reliable communications, plan evacuations, and take other steps as individuals, households, and as a community to live well in a wildfire ecology.

Cobb Safe takes place every spring, usually in April, and Cobb Resilient is scheduled in the fall, usually in October. Check the SSCRA Facebook page for announcements.
