Cultivating Resilience: A Network Approach to Stewardship

We are thrilled to invite the Lake County community to a special presentation featuring Dylan Skybrook, Manager of the Santa Cruz Mountains Stewardship Network. Dylan will join us to explore the transformative power of Social Impact Networks and how they can be leveraged to address the unique ecological challenges facing our region.

In an era of increasing climate volatility, traditional "siloed" approaches to land management are no longer sufficient. Whether we are tackling wildfire risk, invasive species, or water quality, our ecosystems do not recognize property lines. Dylan will share insights on how diverse stakeholders—from government agencies and tribal groups to private landowners and nonprofits—can align their efforts to achieve large-scale conservation goals.

Scaling Impact in Cobb and Lake County

This framework is particularly relevant to the ongoing work of the Seigler Springs Community Redevelopment Association (SSCRA). Our commitment to forest and watershed resilience in the Cobb area serves as a vital anchor for regional health. By applying a "network" lens, we can better integrate our local projects—from fuel reduction to watershed protection—into a cohesive strategy that protects the shared landscape of Lake County.

Join us to learn:

  • How social impact networks accelerate ecological restoration.

  • Strategies for cross-boundary collaboration that can be applied to our local terrain.

  • Ways to strengthen Cobb’s and Lake County's  resilience through shared data and collective action.
